We’ve instituted a family play time. Every night before bed we spend some time in Selah June’s room to play on our tummies and talk about our day. We sing songs — specifically Itsy Bitsy Spider and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We watch Sophie (the puppy) and try to touch her. We fly in the air over Daddy’s head. Sometimes Mommy takes off our sock feets and plays with our toes. We squeal and sing all together making loud noises just because we can. And we finally suck our thumbs when we’re getting too tired to keep it up.
