Time at Home

Selah June and I spent the day together at home while Jeremy was at work. We did make a Target run, but otherwise kept it low key.

I’ve purposefully tried to pull out one or two new presents a day to give her time to really focus on playing and having fun with each one.  Christmas can be a little overwhelming for a 2-year-old! So today we played with our Finding Nemo art set and our magnetic doll with clothes set.

I was so impressed that she would take out one color at a time and then put it back when she was finished.  She must have sensed that because it soon turned to her pulling every marker top off and storing them them in the back of her pink car.

She was really interested in coloring the picture pages, and I colored

with her.  She noticed that I was coloring in all the bubbles. She decided that she wanted to do that too.  And she really did try to color inside the lines.  Look at how she’s holding the markers! I’m constantly amazed at her fine motor skills and her ability to do pretty complex tasks. We are going to have lots of fun coloring together for years to come.
