Going on an ADVENTURE!!!!

We took the kids to Adventures Unlimited to stay in a cute little cabin for three nights. Here we are with a car packed to the gills and kids with good drinks ready to go!

Whem we got there, everybody needed rainbow goldfish. And Sebastian wanted to drop each one in his mouth.

So of course Selah June did too.

And here are the girls chilling out before bed. The first night it rained, so we all snuggled and watched cartoons and movies.

Turning Into a Little Princess With a Diva Attitude

Tuesday, March 28, 2017

We had a big speaker on campus all week, and I felt pulled in so many directions. She was my little ray of sunshine.

She found this little paper bag from Tiffany’s and now it’s her purse for her money. She carries it EVERYWHERE. I successfully convince her to leave it in the car when we go to school so she won’t lose it and the kids won’t get her money.

But I really need Tiffany’s to give me a whole bunch of replacements. I can see this one lasting a while.

Miss KiKi did her hair in cute little knots, and then she had to have them every day. Here she is wearing one of my necklaces to school

and not cooperating for a selfie with her mama.

Selah June’s “Community” Garden

Monday, March 27, 2017

Ron Finley arrived for his week-long stay at UWF. He is the real “Gangsta” Gardener. Part of his visit included a garden wall at the UWF Community Garden on campus. When Selah June found out that Mommy was still at work because she had to visit a garden, she was ready to go.

i showed up for the event, and she had left everyone else in the dust to go see the garden for herself. She quickly decided that it was her garden.

Consequently, she did not like it when everybody else started encroaching on her territory for the garden walk. “My garden!! Get those people out!!!!!”

I introduced Ron to her, and he tried to get right up in her face. She cried harder.  We had to leave.

Until the next time, Selah June’s appropriated garden!

Park Time of Year

Sunday, May 26, 2017

Today my little monkey learned some new tricks for swinging at the park! She watched Mommy lay on her tummy and swing that way. And then Daddy let her swing on the big kid swing all by herself!!

Then we went and put rocks in the birdhouse.  (Sorry, birds.)

We led Daddy all over creation.

And then we cleaned the pebbles and mulch out of shoes so that we could come home to our awesome front porch to rock in our rockers.

Rollercoaster

Friday, March 24, 2017

I left work early today to take June Bug on an adventure. We talked about it even before she went to school. And then we got to the car. She did not want to get in her seat. And she was purposefully stalling by doing anything but cooperating. I had to be stern with her and ultimately raise my voice and force her into the car.

At that point she told me she didn’t want to go to the store or to Sonic. She just wanted to go home. She was frustrated with me because I picked her up early, and she didn’t get to go outside to the playground with the other kids….

Geez kid.

Particularly Happy and Thankful

Thursday, March 23, 2017

On the way to school this morning Selah June just started thanking me for everything. “Thank you, Mommy, for these raisins. Thank you for getting my blue blanky. Thank you for bringing my lunch bag…”

It was pretty stinkin’ sweet.
