Dr. Selah June

Sunday, February 12, 2017

Jeremy and I had datenight Saturday night, and of course spent it at Target buying a doctor’s kit for Selah June. It was love at first sight. She knew exactly what to do with everything and needed to give all of us checkups.

This captures the love in that little heart for her new treasures.

Move Over!

Wednesday, February 8, 2017

Somebody managed to make it up into my bed during the night. Daddy heard her coughing and brought her up to us for snuggles. Ultimately she slept with me, and he slept downstairs on the sofa. SJ likes to roll right up next to Jeremy, and eventually will roll him off the bed. It might be king-sized, but it’s obviously perfect for a princess.

Little Adventures

Daddy brought cookies home to make with Selah Juney. She was such a good helper. She placed each cookie in its perfect spot on the cookie sheet and waited patiently for them to finish baking.

Too sweet.

Everybody Needs Treats!

Saturday, February 4, 2017

Daddy and Selah June decided they needed doughnuts for breakfast Saturday morning. I decided to go along for the ride. We like having Maynard’s right down the street from our house. It’s pretty tempting to just run down the road for good drinks and good treats.

She got her own bag of doughnut holes. Blueberry!!

How can you say no to that face? Jeremy can’t.

And then we get this face…

My Little Pirate

Selah Juney discovered her spyglass from her play garden. And of course she’s using it to look for No Noggin. It’s really funny to watch her look all around the room and then focus directly on your face. She’s a mess…  and she’s sure she’s seen him in her toy room every time.

Front Porch Funniness

Tuesday, January 31, 2017

Selah June and I spent a lovely evening together enjoying the crisp evening on our porch and making silly faces and sounds.

She still loves being outside. Grammy and Grandpa bought us a fire bowl for our front porch for Christmas, but we still haven’t had the time and energy to assemble it. Maybe Jeremy is finally starting to be on the upward swing with this whole foot thing. One can only hope.

A Day Off For Some But Not All

Monday, January 30, 2017

Jeremy had Monday off. I had originally planned to taken Monday off and rally everyone to go to the beach, but then life got in the way. Even now, a look at my schedule shows very little but masks a whole lot of stuff.  Lots and lots of random stuff.

To have some semblance of quality time with the little monkey, we rallied the troops to go to the trampoline park instead. And we found out that afternoons during the week are great times for Sky Zone. There were practically no other kids there at all. The cousins all jumped to their hearts’ content across every square without regard for others at all.

evey time she goes to the park, she’s jumping a little different. It’s crazy how quickly they change. Right now, she’s jumping much better but she just jumps with her knees right in front of her. It’s pretty funny. I’m going to try to upload a video.

Turf Wars

Sunday, January 29, 2017

We went with Mom and Dad to Newk’s on Sunday after church. Selah June looked super cute in some striped pink tights, a pink dress with silver leopard print, and a little cardigan. At the restaurant, I cornered her in the booth, and she found a window nook to store her crackers and croutons.

All was going well until some other customers sat in the booth behind us. She thought for a moment about moving her stuff back to the table, but then reclaimed her space with subtle encroachment.

She then discovered Jeremy’s sandwich and unabashedly told him she was going to “share.” She’s really good at “sharing” other people’s food.
