I was so glad to see Friday. The last week of school…the day before graduation… a sleepy campus without faculty or students.
To top off this administrative heaven, a beautiful bush full of roses.

Its hard to believe this monkey had to stay home from school today because she was sick. She’s been really congested and coughing with a really wet rattling cough. Her allergy meds seem to really help, but sometimes it’s hard to tell whether she has just allergies or also a cold.

Selah June and I love being outside. In the afternoons, we check our garden and bring in our meager little harvest to have with our dinner. And we look at all of our flowers.
Who knew that green onions have flowers that look like this?
And our blueberries are looking good!
We had a terrible storm that brought down tons of tree limbs.
I asked her to say “cheese”….

with Daddy gone, we decided to reach out to Grandpa to see if he needed to go with us on our Saturday morning doughnut run. Of course he did!!
We tried out a new place too!! Dunkin Doughnuts…. Selah June had munchkins – the DD version of doughnut holes.
I don’t think she enjoyed herself at all. Do you?
Maybe Grandpa is back on the island now…at least for this week.

Incant remember why exactly we needed to go out into the yard without pants, but it obviously was important at the time.
When our week was through, we decided we needed to go to Target for popcorn, but then changed our mind to Publix for cookies, but then changed our mind again to chicken…. but we really wanted a cookie.
Mommy made the executive decision to get both at Chick-fil-A. Again…. It is pretty much our home away from home when Daddy isn’t home.
We made a lot of silly faces and a couple of adorable ones too.

Who does that booty belong to??
Juney Baby now loves to stop and linger outside of school where there is a whole bed of little glass pebbles. She needs to walk on them, put her hands in them, pick some to take home with us, move some to the planter, and just generally be with them.
How can you make such a precious child move to the next thing? I’ve been trying to slow down and just be with her, but it’s so hard this time of year.
I hate being a bad mom, and I know that I’m not meeting my own expectations.
This tree is right outside of my office. The Spanish moss just makes it an incredible sight to behold.
